05/29/2008 Dear Rahul, This is typical case of retardation which can only be th ere because of overdosing of admixture. Here your feedback is there t hat in one column setting took place after 48 hrs and another column set after 72 hrs which indicates that differential dosage has gone in to the concrete. There could be two possibilities: a) Admixture is a dded at site b) If this is the first lot of production there could b e a possibility that admix drum is not agitated properly and more of the solids in admixture is added initially. This mix indicated by y ou is having certain inconsistencies especially w.r.t. w/c ratio. Als o the flyash used is below 10%, hence this cannot be attributed to fl yash based mix. The admix dosage indicated is within the acceptable range.Pl takeup overdosing trial.
